CHJ Technologies has been awarded once again as part of the consortium to deliver cloud based Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection and Web Application security services for the Singapore government over the next three years. This new tender award comes after the first inaugural DDoS Mitigation Service tender which was released in 2013, which CHJ Technologies was also awarded for. The Singapore Government expects to spend SGD $50 million to keep government websites going even under a cyber-attack.
Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), the national agency overseeing cyber security strategy, recently published its Singapore Cyber Landscape 2016 report, highlighting the growing frequency and impact of cyber-attacks. DDoS threats continue to be one of the prevalent methods of attacks against the Singapore government critical infrastructure. DDoS attacks aim to disrupt and bring services down by flooding a website with traffic.
Linus Choo, Managing Director of CHJ technologies states, “We were awarded the first DDoS security tender by the government in 2013. This was our first significant arrangement with DOSarrest and they have proven to be a great partner, both in technology and service. For the new tender which was awarded last week, we have once again been selected to be part of the consortium to protect government websites against cyber threats. This confidence given in our proven technology is significant for us as we continue to strengthen the cyber security posture of the government.”
Mark Teolis, CEO of DOSarrest explains “It was a very rigorous process to meet all the requirements of the Singapore government’s security specifications, in the end we beat out many competitors three years ago and we did it again this year.” Teolis adds “CHJ Technologies is a great match for us, their staff on the ground and customer support paired with our Technology is a home run.”
CHJ Technologies's joint cyber defence initiative has come a long way since its first government DDoS Mitigation Service award in 2013. Together with DOSarrest, we have recently launched our new DDoS Protection Software and DSS2 Secured Portal in September 2017. Other developments in technology include the Juniper Network Core upgrade and advancement in Machine Learning for Anomaly and Bot Detection. Customers can expect improved services and technology over the next three years and beyond.
